“FLUID” creative strategy launch

Twice a year Nike would launch into a new season with new innovative product, materials, color palettes,  retail activations and experiences. But before that could even happen, 2 years prior, we were working on the concept, the red thread, that would tie all of Nike together—called Creative Strategy Launch.

This included working with the Nike Design VPs to communicate the creative direction via a custom rig build out,  anthemic  videos, events hosting 1000K designers, rig tours, and campaign storytelling. I was the lead designer and video editor on all assets created in the rigs. In total, I have done 12 of these launches.

For Good & Company approached me to help with a video for Adidas to pay tribute to Damian Lillard’s time here while playing for the Portland Trailblazers before he left to go to the Milwaukee Bucks.

This video was part of a larger event taking place at Adidas Headquarters where they were surprising Damian Lillard with a court reveal named in his honor, the first Adidas building to be named after an athlete. This video was a quick turn – from concept, pitch, editing, sourcing footage and VO talent in just over a week.

I was approached by Native Shoes to help them create a video to inspire the designers at Native Shoes. With just a little over 2 weeks to get this out from concept to finish, I sourced music, stock footage, original Native Shoes content, and created animation titles and story based upon their new brand guidelines.

The Nike Design Ethos, a tool for the design community to understand the principles and values of Nike. 

We created a book that was given to all 1K designers across the world, art directed a film and motion graphics, created 5 master class type videos with interviews from Nike Designers, and launched an event with custom experiential design.  I was the lead designer and video editor and sometimes director on this project that spanned multiple years.

Created the visual identity for Nike’s seasonal design creative direction in 2018. Logo you see here on the Jordans was a part of that creative direction launch. Later on, designers used the logo and adapted it for the footwear released in 2020.

SOCKS AND BAGS LOOK BOOKS

Socks and bags are often an overlooked but key category to the Nike business. This photoshoot was meant to showcase product across every category from Skateboarding, basketball, lifestyle, kids, dance, etc. 

The photoshoot spanned 2 days across 6 locations in Portland Oregon. Leading up to 12 people at a given time as well as a day in studio. We created two look books out of the photoshoot, one for socks, and one for bags.
